Sam is a former Young New Zealander of the Year, the co-founder and former CEO of Sustainable Coastlines. Sustainable Coastlines is a Kiwi charity that has delivered education programmes and presentations to 250,000+ Kiwis, and empowered communities to plant more than 160,000 native trees, and remove more than 1.7 million litres of rubbish from our coastlines.
Under Sam’s leadership, the team at Sustainable Coastlines also developed the Flagship Education Centre on Auckland Waterfront, one of the most sustainable buildings in New Zealand. The project was awarded one the most prestigious environmental awards for youth on the planet – The Energy Globe Awards – out of over 2,000 submissions from 178 countries. Sam is now focused on developing executive-level partnerships, expanding their work internationally, serving as a board member to numerous non-profit organisations, lending his skills as strategic adviser to aligned projects and assisting other social and environmental entrepreneurs to develop and execute their concepts.
